I created Irony as a visual contradiction — a beautiful, delicate poppy rising out of a layered background of sewing patterns and soft texture. Poppies are stunning, symbolic, light-filled flowers… yet they’re also the plant used to create heroin. That tension between beauty and danger, softness and strength, is what inspired this piece.
