Canopy is a large-scale fiber art wall hanging hand-knotted in natural jute, forest green, and cream cotton cord. The cord is suspended from a branch found on my North Texas property — stripped of its bark by hand to reveal the wood underneath — and hung on a jute rope hanger. Wooden and seed beads run through the fringe in vertical lines, adding weight and detail throughout. The color moves from warm tan at the outer edges through deep green to an ivory center. Earthy, grounded, and quietly striking.
