Raised Country was created as a commissioned growth chart for a family whose roots, values, and daily life are deeply tied to country living.

In this piece, I focused on texture, posture, and small details that feel familiar and lived-in—the worn boots, the rope, the hat, and the quiet stance of a child growing into their place in the world. Pyrography allows the warmth of the wood to stay present, so the material itself becomes part of the narrative.

This piece now lives with its collectors, where it will continue to gather marks, dates, and memories over time.
