This work, White Rabbit #4, reimagines the rabbit through a steampunk-inspired lens, blending organic form with intricate mechanical detail. Burned by hand into wood using pyrography and enhanced with subtle color, the design emphasizes gears, rivets, and industrial textures woven into the rabbit’s face. The piercing eyes and angular lines give the piece a sense of urgency, heightened by the inscribed phrase: “Wake up Alice.”
As the fourth piece in my White Rabbit series, this work continues the exploration of imagination, identity, and surreal symbolism. While earlier versions emphasized whimsy and humor, this one introduces a sharper edge — a reminder of time, machinery, and the call to awareness.
The White Rabbit series has become an evolving narrative within my portfolio, each version layering new meanings and stylistic approaches. White Rabbit #4 stands out for its fusion of fantasy, steampunk aesthetics, and pyrography craftsmanship, highlighting how the series bridges storytelling, symbolism, and hand-drawn precision.
Though this piece has been sold, it remains a defining chapter in the ongoing evolution of the White Rabbit works.
