This mural, titled “Growing Communities by Transforming Lives,” was created inside the offices of Solutions of North Texas, a residential treatment center in Denton, Texas. Designed in bold color bands with a rising sun motif, it symbolized renewal, community, and the hope of transformation through recovery.

The project was a collaborative effort, painted with the help of Solutions staff members, making it not only a visual statement but also a shared act of creativity and pride for those who served the mission daily. The mural was one of four works painted at Solutions, each reflecting the organization’s vision and providing inspiration for clients and staff alike.

Solutions of North Texas supported the Denton community for almost 20 years before closing in April 2025 due to lack of funding. While the outdoor mural was eventually painted over — and this piece may also no longer remain — its impact endures in memory. The act of painting together and the message it carried continue to represent the spirit of recovery, resilience, and the importance of community care.
