This painting, titled “Drink Me,” reinterprets the familiar Alice in Wonderland motif through a darker, surrealist lens. A glass bottle floats in swirling blue currents, its surface glistening with condensation. Inside, the face of Alice stares outward, her eyes wide and unblinking, with crimson streaks falling beneath them like tears or blood. At the base of the bottle, the words “Drink Me” are painted in distressed white lettering, echoing the original tale but with a more ominous undertone.

The work reflects themes of temptation, transformation, and danger — how curiosity and desire can lead to both discovery and destruction. The beauty of Alice’s face contrasts with the macabre details, heightening the sense of unease and irony.

As part of my symbolic and surrealist portfolio, Drink Me stands among my more provocative works. It pushes viewers to consider the tension between innocence and corruption, fantasy and horror, wonder and consequence.

This piece, though sold, continues to resonate as an example of how my art uses storytelling, symbolism, and dark surrealism to provoke thought and emotional response.
